It's good to hear that you're perfectly rational about this. If he cheated on you then you do deserve better, and you're bound to find it. Also I'd say it's good if he's overprotective of you.

I know you don't want to lose him, but think of it like this: is it better to have him and be constantly worried about losing him or to have him and enjoy the time?

You kinda can't do anything more than just trust him and relax. I'm sure he means that, so just let the fear go.
And I'm sorry to hear about your friend, but no matter what happens, everything will be alright in time.

Don't be willing to let a guy ruin your life like that, there's so much more to it than that. I know life sucks at the moment because people make it awful but there's always the rest of your life ahead of you. If you're worried that it'll only get worse, don't be. My friend takes several college classes on a campus and she assures me that people aren't as intolerant and offensive as they are in high school.

This just proves my point; those people are awful enough to do these things to you when you don't deserve it. Don't leave you boyfriend for that either, it's just stupid. Think of it like this, he thinks you're worth staying with and he'd break up with you if that's what he wanted to do, but he doesn't. He wants you above of all those horrible people

Nothing's wrong with you; a lot is wrong with the people that do this stuff to you. Don't worry about all this stuff and just go with the flow until something happens in which you can prove that you won't let others ruin your confidence.

Then relax and let him help you through it and it'll all be alright
