Ahh, I see. The medical card system has been here for a long time now, but no-one's complained about it. Thing is, most European countries have a far better health service that's free for everyone. Look at the NHS in the UK for example, that's a good healthcare system.

Oh, that sucks. Yeah, the Dell closure was around the same time as well, maybe a couple of years later. The whole world slipped into a financial crisis then.

Ohh. You can only get free healthcare here if you have this special medical card, which you can only get if no-one in your household is employed. And that's true.

Ah, cool. Limerick was a major industrial city in the past, but around twenty years or so ago, we had a massive investment from Dell. They employed almost 10% of the city's population until a few years ago, when they shut the manufacturing plant down, moved it to Poland and laid off everyone who worked there. >.> And when they closed down, other local companies which relied heavily on their business had to close down as well. Not good.

Lol, the public healthcare here isn't even free, everyone has to pay for it. Private insurance is good enough for the most part though. And mental health care here is atrocious too.

Yeah, there's nothing open anymore. There's a big enough out-of-town shopping centre near where I live, but that's about it.

Ohh. I hope it doesn't happen either!

Ah, the medical sector was doing very well in the last few years, but it's slowing down slightly. On that note, the health service here is terrible as well. The city centre is pretty much bare, all the shops have closed. It's gone so bad that the Irish Government are giving the city council millions in grants to improve it. It's like a mini-bailout.

Ooh, stormy? It's still really sunny here.

Lol, well, I'm incredibly proud to be from my city, but, let's face it, it's a terrible place to live. We're one of the most economically deprived cities in Europe. Ireland in general is a terrible place to live at the moment though.

Ah, I see. Places like that don't always have WiFi. Well done on surviving some time without WiFi though!

I hope it does! I actually want to live there when I'm older.

    Ahh, I see. Cool.

I can't believe that, in this day and age, some restaurants don't have Wifi!

Lol, well, you have to get there at some stage! It's a must!

    Ah, that's cool!

    It sure does.

London is amazing! I went there on a school tour a couple of months back. There's either a museum or a famous monument on, like, every street. You can't turn a corner without running into some sort of tourist attraction. I actually have a lot of relatives who live over there, we've never been to visit them, but they come back to Ireland every now and again.

Lol, 2 weeks old?! And here I am, 16 years age and never having been to a concert.

Aha, I'm the same, bands I like never come to this side of the country. Ah, that's cool! I'd say the biggest city I've been to is either London or Paris, I'm not sure which is bigger.

I hope I can too! Lol, I'd say he definitely doesn't mind.

    Lol, probably!

Yep. It's not necessarily that long a drive (less than 3 hours, depending on what part of the city you're heading to), but, you know, Limerick is a city of less than 100,000 people, and Dublin is, well, big and scary.

Nope. =( I'm keeping a close eye on Paramore in September though. It's on in Dublin again, but my parents might let me go since I'm older now, provided I can find a few people to go with me.

I know! It was annoying the way they didn't tell us more. And really?! That's so cool! And yeah, a lot of musicians play in a couple of lesser-known bands as well. I'd imagine they're fairly busy!

    About me
Hey. I'm Ashley. I'm really bad at talking about myself without being prompted with a question, and "About Me" isn't exactly a question.

I used this site a ton as a teenager, I was even a Buddy at one point on a different account. But I'm 20 now and rarely get on anymore. I probably should, I still have some serious anxiety issues that need worked through and I've yet to go back to therapy, but alas- I'm dealing.

As of February 2016 I'm 5 years self harm free, which is great. But also as of early 2016, my anxiety attacks are worse than ever (and a hell of a lot more frequent than ever, as well.)

Less serious things about me? I like going to concerts. Most of my friends are from the internet, and I love learning about other countries and cultures.

I like to pretend I'm good at taking pictures but I'm really not, instagram just has great filters.

My little brothers mean the world to me.

I enjoy thunderstorms a little too much. Oh and I drink way too much diet pepsi.

If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask! :) Hope you have a nice day. <3
