    Hi ~Alessa!!

I hope you're having a super duper day!!

I think most adults remember - they just never learned how to deal with what they went through. People just didn't TALK about how they felt. And men - especially - were encouraged NOT to talk. A 'real man' doesn't share his feelings - even with his best pal. And isn't that the saddest thing? But I've had countless numbers of very REAL conversations with a lot of people - of all ages. I have discovered that most people are desperate to share their story and to be HEARD!! So I always try to open that door for them - letting them know that it IS safe to talk to me. And the best way to do that is to be open and honest with them - to be courageous enough to be openly vulnerable - to share a little something of yourself. I've learned a lot about people that way. And what I've learned more than anything else is that everyone just wants to be loved. I think it would surprise most teenagers [Especially] just how sad most adults are. And how much they would appreciate being treated with kindness and compassion. Trouble is - we [As in all of us] tend to WAIT for the 'other guy' to be nice to us FIRST. So nothing REAL ever happens. We just all keep 'playing the game' and pretending to be something we are not. That said - it's important not to be fooled by what we see. Or to judge someone based on a first impression. An 85 year old man [For instance] doesn't have an 85 year old soul. He's just a guy - like he's always been - getting around IN an 85 year old body!! And that's true for everyone. Adults - I say - are really just 'kids with wrinkles'.

I hope you'll accept my friendship request.
    GREAT BIG HUG
    Craig!!

    PS
    - I love 'my' Mona Lisa!! lol

    About me
Every day I'm amazed at where I am now. I've been through a lot in the past, and amazingly I'm still here. I love to help others, as it helps me forget my own problems. I've come a long way from where I used to be and I'm terrified I'll slip back down. I feel like my successes should show everyone recovery is possible. I'm always around and willing to talk. Trust me, I've been there before.
