I just read your reply about how a mate of your's is starting games design in Dundee. Haha, yeahh, thing is, the uni I'm at is the only serious option for games design stuff, I mean, I've been taught loads of ex-industry and currently-industry people.
I'm currently going into my third year, or hopefully will be if I pass my resit of this random business module. Tell your mate to watch out for them, they're brutal That is, if he's doing the exact same course I am (Games Design and Production Management).

I've never had financial incentives for grades! Never any parental pressure, which is great, but family friends always do with the whole 'she's clever' stuff and I put pressure on myself - the joy! But yes I wouldn't be complaining if I was in your situation! More music equipment!!

I like your thoughts on music - I'm fairly new to electronic, but things I've heard I've liked, more of the slightly pop stuff like MGMT. I love NIN 'Hurt' (which I discovered from the Johnny Cash version in my Dad's collection!) but have never listened to more of them - I'll Spotify it Equally, I think you're right you want some serious issues but not all heavy stuff for your music. 'Nirvana with an electronic edge' sounds very good - that's record company style pitch haha! Haha unlucky about your voice then (but perhaps that is just your opinion?!) but could do like Radiohead 'Fitter, Happier' with the whole song of spoken electronic voice. I have a weird love for that too.

Anyway, must..drag...myself...off...TH....to revise....! Talk later =] E xx

Thanks, in the end they're only silly little exams! Just always seem like a big deal these days.

Sounds like you're in a bit of a 'vicious circle' with the work and music then! That's unfortunate...I guess you have to hold off on the making music until you've bought the new kit - but don't let any cool ideas get away! Make a note of them.
Wow that's a long time to 'hold on to' a song; is it because you've not had the time or the idea's not quite there? Well they say everyone's got a story in them...I'm pretty sure thats the same with songs, probably an album not just one! What kind of music do you usually make (rock/pop/acoustic etc)?

Well, with a year's worth of mulling over the thoughts about the song I'm sure it'll be brilliant when you get the time to record it fully I'd like to hear it when you do!

You're lucky you're so calm! But of course that's a good thing, I'm just rather the opposite haha. How do you mean '2hr long breaks'?! I do like the idea that it is something you do better in by not worrying though. Those worries just stick in my mind though. But I managed to block them out for the actual exam this morning - got it done - not sure it was too great =/
Ah it's work and music that's going to be keeping you busy. Well that doesn't sound too bad, since the job gets you money for the music which I'm assuming you like a lot.
Thanks for the luck! Next one is Friday (6 to go...) Good luck to you too,
    E xx

Oh dear about the song! Good luck for fixing it?! Not really musical so that's probably the best 'advice' you'll get from me haha. Sounds good that you're cool about the next month, could it be exams? Mine start tomorrow, bit mixed feelings really, I've got that sick feeling of failure at the moment though. But, all I can do is give it a go, and in just over three weeks they'll be over. Best wishes for whatever's going to keep you busy! You'll get through that and I'll get through exams - e a s y!! (Note possible sarcasm )
