And to answer your question, I use a very restrictive NAT system and hardware firewall along with COMODO with defense + and firewall in paranoid mode with Avast with the push updating plus a hosts file ban list of about 30 thousand sites along with spybot, spyware blaster, ad-aware, win defender and very restrictive windows account permissions
