Well to be on staff you have to be on TeenHelp longer than a month, have access to the chat room, and have more than 25 posts. I got on TeenHelp in April, the Buddy form wasn't available, finally in October it was there, submitted, got accepted
I think the Buddy position is closed again though, there are quite a few of us
