Well, it really depends on the topic. People who have contributed to it often find information or topics through their studies (for example, Pyschology majors or even high school), or perhaps even in therapy (we've had at least one article based on things someone learned in inpatient). Then there are some which are just common sense or based on personal experience. And others, for example News & Debates, require a fair bit of research (newspapers, journals, etc). Does any of that help?
