That's cool you know 2 languages well and learning a third. Spanish is so good to know here. We have a lot of Spanish speakers, mainly Hispanics and workplaces like hospitals and human services always prefer the workers to know Spanish. Also a Chinese dialect us good to know for similar reasons. Because I look mixed, peiple can't tell where I'm from. I've gotten Israeli, Russian, Uzbeki, hispanic/Latina anD sometimes very specific like Mexican lol. There's a man in my building who kept calling me Pablo, so obnoxious -.-
But there had been many Hispanics who asked me if I speak Spanish because they would need help with directions abd I'd feel bad that I couldn't help. Or they would want to know just curious to see if that's something we share in common.
One time someone asked me for a lighter (or a cigarette...I actually didnt understand fully but he was looking to smoke) in Spanish then we ended up talking and stuff and he told me it is shocking that I'm not Latina.
Now that I think of it, j want to learn all the languages you've listed! German is fun. I mean I know a little Yiddish and there's German mixed into that language abd I took German fairytales si we learned some German words. I also learned so much Latin and Greek without realizing just by taking many science classes lol!
Ketchup, sourkraut and kindergarten are all German words.
Also Munich University has a giant slide so I officially want to do my masters there.
I haven't learned MSA in the end. I feel like i learn better with a live teacher. I learned a lot when my sister taught me the alphabet. She went to Morocco for study abroad and learned MSA in her class as well as was exposed to the Moroccan dialect which is mixed with Burbur
The arabid alphabet is similar to the Hebrew alphabet but the letters look different. In Hebrew there's some letters that look different if it is the last letter of the word than if it was in the middle of the word of the beginning. In Arabic, there's that too but there's beginner middle and end. I'm not sure if it is for every letter but I think a lot more than the Hebrew alphabet.
I get to go on a free trip called Birthright for 10 days in Israel. I'm not gonna go because they kind of have propaganda embedded in their trip program and I'm not into that. I have strong political views when it comes to this and I know many people would accuse me of being antisemitic which is ridiculous but I love the organization called Jewish Voice for Peace. Anyway, if you're interested abd don't care much about the proppganda they try to sell you, see what the birthright eligibility requirements are. I think you need to have at least one parent who is Jewish but it is possible that it is just a recommendation and really allows anyone interested. Not 100% sure.
