Yeah, we had some History thing last year where people brought in all this historical stuff, like helmets and chain mail and robes and whatnot, so I tried on the chainmail and then a peasant's outfit (which was surprisingly comfortable
).
Yeah, we got a lecture the other day about 'pieces of paper', and how you can't get anywhere without them. But it's all kind of silly, because in Year Ten I did the School Certificate, which apparently won't exist after next year, so it's essentially meaningless.
But by then I'll have my HSC, so it's all good.
See, the way I see it is that University is the thing you go to so you can learn, and college is the place you live at when you go to Uni... does that make sense? I looked at some residential colleges the other day, and it was kind of like being at Hogwarts.
No, I'm not a good swimmer, really. I competed for a couple of years, but I was more into athetics; my sister was the hardcore swimmer.
I do like swimming, just not very fast, you know?
I love the 80s Singstar disc, if that counts?
I don't think they're playing 80s music - though that would be really cool. I might actually suggest it.
And I think I'll be okay with the bright colours because, since everyone else will be wearing it too, I won't stand out.
Australia's pretty too, but in different ways. Like, I love the bush, but to most people it's all drab and dreary and each patch looks the same. It's kind of an acquired taste.
I think I want to go to all Australian states at some point... so far I've only been to three.
You could always just pretend you're getting married. Just be all, 'Oh, yeah, my wedding's next year' and then just never come back.
I can remember being younger and looking at pictures of wedding dresses, but I kind of lost interest in that lol.
I've tried grass too. And clover. And birdseed. But that's another story. I'm not actually a big salad fan, really, which is weird considering. And I'd love you to make a veggie version of the sauce. It sounds lovely.
And yeah, I was forced to eat meat.
Nah, I actually liked it. It just got to the point where my conscience wouldn't let me eat it without making me feel awful.
It was pretty easy, once I made the decision. I mean, it was weird at first - completely caught my sister off-guard, too, because I thought Mum had told her and Mum thought I'd told her, so nobody told her for weeks - but I got used to it quickly. Never even considered switching back, to be honest.
Ohh, my friend had one where you made cupcakes, and she told me to 'eat' it, so I did, but I accidentally ate the buttons too.
I used to love playing a computer game called Diner Dash, which was kind of similar lol.
See, I like the idea of driver's
ed courses. But we don't have them here. Not that it matters where I am, because it's the country and you just learn to drive on your parents' property, but it would still be nice.
What kind of job did you apply to? And I'm sure you won't make mistakes. I'll be there in spirit with you.
All of the above?
I think I'm mostly just... processing. It's hard to believe it's really ending. But I have to say, I'll be glad to finally leave the school. It's... yeah. I won't go on a rant about it, but basically we all can't wait to leave lol.
Your nails sound pretty; and the newspaper art looks so cool! I'm tempted to try it sometime too. I think you should do it and let me know how it goes.
I really want some of the nail polish that changes colour according to the temperature. That would be awesome.
And also, have you noticed that our conversation's getting bigger again?
