Senior year I totally lost my motivation to work! Are you going to college next year? Or if not, what will you be doing? I'm kind of stressed--our semester is ending as well so I have 3 exams on Tuesday....not so enjoyable!

I think you'd be GREAT at being a leader! You don't have to be perfect
    How's your week going?

Well in the meantime keep looking. You could even look into starting a group! You'd be a wonderful group leader, having experienced it yourself. You'll be great for these kids and having gone through it, I'm sure you can think of things that would be helpful to them.

I take a lot of psych classes and a lot of speech classes....none of which are really specific to SM at all, which is too bad...so I'm still trying to figure out ways to get involved with it! Maybe you could find a SM group nearby and see if you could volunteer or something? That would be awesome.

Try this website: http://www.selectivemutism.org/ it might have some good resources! I think you'd be wonderful helping these kids out. I think that a lot of times, knowing that someone gets it is so helpful--so the fact that you could be there and tell kids that you used to have trouble talking and you know what it's like, would be absolutely invaluable to them. They'll be lucky to have you!!

Hi! You should definitely check the books out--they are amazing, I've read them all like a thousand times each! I'm studying Speech-Language Pathology (which I'm in love with, by the way!) and one of the things I love about it is there are so many things you can do with it. I'm REALLY interested in psychology-type things so working with Selective Mutes is a great way, in my opinion, to combine that psychology aspect with the Speech-Pathology aspect (literally teaching people to speak again, both physically and emotionally). I'm actually not sure if there are set programs on it--but we should both look into it and keep each other posted! I think if you're interested in it, definitely look into studying psychology and/or speech-pathology. Okay, enough of my rambles haha let me know what your thoughts are and if you have more questions or anything!!

    About me
Hello all of you people in TH land!

For those of you who don't already know, I'm Tor...which comes from the root word Vic-tor-ia. Hm about me...I swear I come up with stuff to write in things like this at random times, but when it comes time to sit down and write them my mind goes as blank as the white box I'm typing in. Frustrating really. Well I guess I'll go about my life for another week and try to write down things that a stranger might care to know about me...and then we'll try this again. Stay tuned

    Hobbies
I tend to take up something, and then get bored of it after a week. I can't seem to keep with things that fit into the "hobby" category. However I could always spend hours on photoshop messing around with pictures..or spend a day with a camera and take a hundred pictures. I'd say that's the closest to a hobby I have
    Music
Rock, Alternative, Hip-Hop, Techno, Punk, Country....I can listen to just about anything. Hell I'll even listen to oldies. Music is my life, I honestly don't know what I would do without it.

Just to name a few though...
AFI, All American Rejects, Audioslave, Basshunter, Breaking Benjamin, Coldplay, Creed, Cute Is What We Aim For, Dashboard Confessional, Death Cab For Cutie, Dido, Eminem, Evanescence, GreenDay, Flyleaf, Foo Fighters, Imogen Heap, Incubus, Jem, Jimmy Eat World, Kerli, Lifehouse, Linkin Park, Little Boots, Lonely Island, Lost Prophets, Metallica, Muse, My Chemical Romance, Nightwish, Nirvana, Papa Roach, Paramore, Puddle of Mudd, Portished, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Saliva, Seether, September, Shiny Toy Guns, Smash Mouth, Stone Temple Pilots, Tatu, Third Eye Blind, Tokio Hotel, Veronicas, Weezer, 3OH!3.

    And so much more.
    Movies
So many good movies out there...though I usually go for comedy or action. And the Sandlot will always be a favorite of mine.
    Television
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Full House, Charmed, CSI, House, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother
    Games
    I'm pretty boss at Solitaire?
    Books
Anything by John Green, Stephenie Meyer, or Dan Brown.
A Child Called It, Speak, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Metamorphesis

I haven't read nearly as much as I would like to.
    Sports
I did competitive gymnastics for 6 years, stopped competing right before level 7. I did softball a while back, love going to the batting cages and such. Other than that, gymnastics took up a lot of my time so that's basically the only sport I'm remotely good at.

wow....it's been almost a month since I last blogged. I'm hardly on TH anymore...and that's not really intentional or anything, it's just the timeless excuse...I'VE BEEN BUSY. I know, original right? Maybe I should come up with a more interesting reason...

Okay, so here's the deal. A couple weeks ago I got in a huge fight with my parents about how many popsicles is "too many". Things got a little out of hand...harsh words were said...and well, I left home. I decided that I

Oh hai there fellow blog followers! It seems like I haven't blogged in ages. Sure, it has been 16 long busy days...but I've gone longer than that without feeling weird about it. For some reason, it seems as though I haven't talked to you guys in too long. I miss TeenHelp!

Well, I guess the reason I haven't blogged is because nothing exciting has happened. I mean yeah Christmas, but there's not much to say there. Family, presents, turkey dinner...same 'ol. I guess I just wanted to make

...is not a good one, to say the least. I've had far more bad experiences with getting gas than good ones.

When I first got my drivers license, I didn't have to worry about filling up because I didn't drive much..and when I did drive, I drove my mom's car. I recently got my own vehicle, and therefore had the new responsibility of getting my own gas. I know...scary, right? The first few times I filled up, I had a friend or sibling in the car with me. (I claimed it was because I didn't
