I think the longest we've had one is 3 days or so. The cast iron takes so long to heat up, you really need to get it going early. I know one of my friends who heats her house pretty much entirely with a wood stove.

What kinda of stuff have you made with photoshop?

That's awesome! I want to go to a concert, but not really anyone to go with, and not many of the bands I want to hear have had shows near me (or in the US for that matter )

Yea, they were really good It's really nice to have, for when power is out during the winter and all. Keeps things warm and you can cook on it.

Yea, I do a bit with photography, not as much as I used to though. Really like playing with stuff in photoshop, making fakes. Can occupy me for a long time Thanks

Yep, and we had sourdough muffins and pancakes and what not cooked on the fire place (it's actually a cast iron stove).

I was actually crazy and in way too many: Photography, creative/experimental photography (photo shopping pictures basically), shooting sports, junior leaders, lawn and garden tractor, entomology, beekeeping and computers. Is fun, and I've made alot of cool friends through it. But can be really, really stressful getting it all done on time. Got everything judged yesterday though and did quite well. So I'm happy

Yea, longest I've ever remembered it going out was for a few days once. Granted in extremely cold weather so it still wasn't very good. We had a fireplace to use though

Lol, gift shops are always alot of fun

Basically there are a huge number of projects, each one a different dicipline (i.e. photography, computers, fine arts, livestock, etc). And you have to make a project related to that discipline, then it is judged at the county fair. Lot's of fun, but stressful too.

Yea, I learned that the hard way. But... somehow it feels less special. Like I'm not really close to any one person, I just kinda know a bunch of people, if that makes sense.

Yea, ice storms around here are really bad sometimes. Back when I was really, really little, one knocked out power for like a month or something. Fires are about the opposite end of the spectrum, but suck aswell.
