That's really lovely.Its not weird to name a pet after someone you loved or someone from the family. I hope Joanie isn't a trouble maker. I used to have a tortoise shell cat named Tequila, she loved to sit on my shoulders while I brushed my teeth or when I was looking out the window. She was a really lovely cat, unfortunately she passed away to a severe allergic reaction to a tick bite.
