I mean, I know I keep repeating this, I just can't understand how people could do that and live with themselves...

No... I hate even when someone comes on here and is being supported by everyone here. To be standing on a ledge, deciding if you were going to go through with it would be hard enough. Add in an entire jeering mob, I just can't even imagine... I so badly wish that there weren't so many ignorant mean people in the world...

I know, it sickened me reading that. I just can't get over the fact that they even thought that was ok to do... I just.. it amazes in me in an entirely horrible way.

I really hope your project gets through to some people and makes them think twice the next time they are in a situation with someone who is depressed or suicidal.

Yea, there's a thread about it over in Current Events. I was so sad when I heard. I just can't imagine seeing someone about to jump and doing anything other than trying to help get them down safely. The worst part is the police almost had him down... I feel so bad for the officers that had to negotiate with him and lost him because of a bunch of soulless morons.

I really hope it does get through to people. This really is an important subject that people need to know about.

Could you use the story about the guy that was going to jump from a car park and the crowds egged him on, even when the police had almost negotiated him down? That could kind of show that suicide isn't a joke and how much damage 'having fun' (because I'm sure the crowd though they were having great fun messing with him, until he actually jumped..) can do.
