- I am Isaac, currently 16 and from Singapore. My life has been a tip-toe, where highs and lows occur all too frequently. In 2011, I was in a relationship with a splendid and delightful girl and I nearly thought my life was going to be tied with her, but it was because of a dumb reason that she admitted that she did not liked me at all. She told me that she had someone in mind(her childhood friend) and she wanted to give him a chance to initiate a relationship with her. Being a jealous guy, I was pissed but I ended up saying good luck. Guess what? In 2014, she started messaging me asking if I was still single. My reply? To heck with her. After that, I told her I had no more interests and from then on we parted.
In 2012, I started becoming a sore-thumb to others by giving trouble and living an aimless life. Right after the "breakup", I felt at an instant breakdown and my engine could not run to cope with studies. I ended up slacking, talking dirty and scolding vulgarities. I got scolded and got picked on my friends. All those episodes led me to think that life was a cunning devil and from then on I did all sorts of terrible stuff. This led me to become really depressed and I even thought of committing suicide. But thankfully, I came up with the idea of achieving small little achievements. Simple little things like, "Hey guys! How's your day?" And "May I help you?" These little actions made me think that life wasn't so bad and I could actually achieve something good out of all the bad things I had done. From then on, this little actions became huge contributions and I can tell you the people who hated me now treats me like a gentleman!
Well currently, I am struggling with studies. It's been the hardest and most strenuous task to fight against and I am behaving nothing less like a slave towards studies. I believe God made us for a purpose, and not just to study all day. On one occasion, due to the intense pressure, I felt superbly depressed, I almost decided I should kill myself. But, thanks to this forum, I felt a sense of life and I thought, hey, why don't I live for God? Though I still face pressure in my studies, I tell myself to always look up to God for help as he helps us even when we don't ask for it. God is the almighty and I know that because he has secured my place in heaven, to live forever with him in peace.
To all those who are feeling down or depressed, if possible, learn from this question that helped me during my toughest hours.
