Lol, I've had a rather lazy morning, even though I'm meant to be out jobhunting xD. I've just been doing some animal chores and been sitting at the computer ^^.

Hehe, that sounds good. Problem is, at this rate, now way I'm going to be able to afford another animal, since I'll need to update the enclosure of one of them fairly soon already, and that's going to cost a bunch .

Could possibly be she was scared of being discriminated against, especially if she once lived in Ireland. You see, over here Catholic = Irish and Protestant = English, and people still haven't gotten over the fact we were ruled for half a century, so see the English as the enemy (of course since most people don't fully appreciate exactly how small Ireland is, they don't realise that culturally it might as well BE in the UK). So if she picked up this thought before leaving (particularly in primary school where it wasn't rare in my time to find kids rooting for the IRA), then she may have felt like she would have felt similar opposition in England.

But I can't say really, I'm just speculating here.

Indeed, it seriously raises an issue when it comes to whether faith is nationalistic or not. For example, I've heard the following issue raised: who is more Jewish, a Jew in Europe or a Christian in Israel? Seemingly if you're Israeli, you're Jewish, end of argument. I feel it's a more visible case of the equating of religious identity with nationalist identity that happens worldwide (although you haven't quite seen it all till you've lived a while in Ireland...)

And ahh I see. I just chose the names..well, randomly I guess. Except he's Ozzy. He's named after a particular musician xD.

And I have . I think, have I? >.>. Put their names up that is. My corn snake is called Astra, my royal python is called Ozzy, my leopard gecko is called Zilly and my milksnake is called Harley.
And lol, so is my family, but I don't live with my family anymore. I got some as soon as I possibly could. xD
