- My name is Rachel. I started cutting when I was 14 years old. I never thought about cutting then one day I just did it. I have always been depressed and anxious and just straight out confused about life. It all became to much for me. The first time I cut it was just 2 little cuts. The next time it was triple that. Then it was halfway up my arm. One day I was a wreck I cried and sat there and cut all the way up both of my arms. When my parents started noticing I moved to my legs then to my side. Self-Harm is a very serious thing and I still get urges all the time but I want to be stronger than the urge I want to be strong and be able to put down a blade or glass and say "No, You do not control me anymore!"
