Oh dear. Well, that's no good! Talk to him, in person! Just sit down with him and ask him what's up, if anything's wrong. Talking does wonders, not just in a relationship, but in an ordinary friendship as well. If he's been your best friend for three years, it shouldn't feel too awkward to just ask him about this whole thing. Make it clear that you're fine just pretending nothing happened and moving on for the sake of your friendship -- which you should be ready to do anyways. If you're not, that's fine because it's hard as anything, but tell him you are and try your best to make it true.
