I think they actually like it in a way. I know the kids at the preschool I worked at a few years ago loved it when I would joke around with them. Yours are probably the same way. It makes them feel like they're on the same level as you. -

I work on an assembly line. It's pretty fun, when there are people to talk to. When there aren't, it's pretty boring. We can actually talk and listen to music there.
