HUGE fan here, I own his entire discography and many many unreleased songs.

put it this way, if i left my Elliott Smith play list on Itunes is 18.7 hours :P

Favorite is Fond Farewell I guess, but theres far to many to chose, thats just the first I heard

Never heard anything from Elliott Smith, to be honest.

"Love Will Tear Us Apart", "Shadowplay", and "Dead Souls" are three particulars I listen to.
My genres are listed on my profile, but as far as bands along the same lines of Joy Division, I like Sisters of Mercy, Siouxie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, The Cure, and even some of Peter Murphy's solo stuff, just to name a few.

I Liketh some Joy Division. Along with various other post-punk/goth bands.
