Hi Ellie!!
I hope you're feeling groovy!! lol
My book..... hmmm. Still trying to figure that out. I know [basically] what I want to write about - I'm just not sure how to go about it. Should I write a series of smaller books for kids and teens - each dealing with a specific topic? For example - one book about bullying. Another about cutting. Another one about suicide. And so on. OR should I just write ONE BIG BOOK that talks about all sorts of 'things' that kids and teens deal with? I've been dreaming about this for YEARS. I find it so frustrating that I won't get out of my own way and just DO IT!! I'm a perfectionist and that really gets in the way. "If my books aren't PERFECT", I say to myself, "then they're not good enough!!" Silly - I know. In fact - just plain stupid. But that all comes from my background. I grew up surrounded by extremely 'flawed' individuals who would not accept anything less than perfection from others. Typical, eh?! Oh well... I just have to keep trying to put aside the lessons I learned in my past and accept that 'perfect is impossible' and just appreciate that 'good' really is 'good enough'. [IF that makes any sense!!] Wish me luck!! lol
Have you found your motivation?! I hoipe so. Sometimes you have sneak up on 'it' and grab it from behind!! Good luck with your first year exams. What do you hope to be doing when all is said and done?! [University wise]
Take care of yourself.
GREAT BIG HUG
Craig!!
