In all honesty, some people split with each other several times before they finally get together and stay together, so it's not a matter of whether or not it's a good or bad idea but more that it depends on the situation. I think in your situation, she seems to think you don't like her and such which may be solely because she has such a low self-esteem of herself and this is why you both keep parting and getting back together, so in that aspect, it's not a bad thing, it's just helping you both to understand more about each other over the course of time.

The best thing you can do is explain to her and truthfully how you're feeling. If you want to tell her about your more secretive side and how you both like BDSM, it may make her feel more at ease, especially knowing there's someone out there who likes the same thing as she does, it may make her feel a little more comfortable and eventually she might come around to see you're quite comfortable with her physically and that you do like her.
