Hi Amethyst! Welcome to TeenHelp! My name is Sam and I'm a Community Mentor here. In a nutshell, that means I'm here to help you find your way around and answer any questions you might have about the different features the site has to offer. Think of me as your own personal tour guide. Of course, I'm also always around for a chat, whether you need advice on something you're going through or just feel like making a friend!

One of the first things I like to recommend to our new members is taking a moment to create a thread in our Arrivals and Departures forum (here). It's the fastest way to introduce yourself to our community, and I know everyone would love to give you a proper TeenHelp welcome! My personal favorite place to hang out is our Chat Room (here). There are a variety of different rooms, ranging from general conversation to support and advice, so you're guaranteed to find something that fits what you're looking for. It's another great way to get integrated into our online family and start forming friendships in real time!

TeenHelp truly has so many features that trying to list them all would tun this into a short novel, but I'll rattle off a few quick ones. We have an amazing Articles team that writes a range of pieces, from fun to informative, which can be read here. If you need support or advice, but don't feel comfortable posting on the forums, our HelpLINK system (here) is a great option. Through HelpLINK, you'll receive responses from our incredible team of HelpLINK Mentors through email or private messaging here. Finally, I want to highlight two of our social features: social groups (here) and blogs (here). Both allow you to connect with other users and share your thoughts in as public or private of a format as you choose.

I also love getting to know our new members, so I would love it if you told me some fun facts about yourself, like your favorite movie or band. As a fellow Californian, I'd also love to know what your favorite things to do here are - you don't have to share anything specific about where you live, if you're not comfortable with that!
