To me it seems close to pandeism - but maybe that's just me
Like you said it makes more sense than following a religion, even though you don't believe in it's creed. Like that priest in Denmark I believe.
Back to Pagan Atheism, it does seem to be very much about reverence to nature, whilst not getting into all the spiritual stuff. Or at least a different type of spiritualism - which doesn't rely on the existence of the supernatural. The idea of god's and goddesses seems to be viewed as unimportant and distracting. As that is just a human thing, to put a name to a face, and extrapolating information which in the end is useless and which can not be verified. That's what I get from it at least. Maybe it's also similar to Spinoza's and Einstein's idea of god or maybe I'm going way off course - as that concept is panentheist in nature

Actually I understand it more than Catholic or Jewish atheism - how can you claim to follow a religion and yet not follow either its scriptures or its beliefs? With Pagan atheism, however, they seem to support the pagan belief that all that lies within the realm of nature is divine, without theorising about the existence of a God (in the sense that life is "divine" because it goes opposes logic, so is something to be praised and respected). I guess it's mainly a sign of respect for the appreciation of nature that dominates pagan beliefs. Ideas?

Actually I'm all rather confused about it. For Catholic atheism it is because they see the Vatican as a important historical force, which can create unity. For Jewish Atheism it's because of heritage. But for Pagan Atheism apparently they believe they can connect with nature, but there is no intelligence behind it. I think at least. here is a link:

And yes it is on beliefnet

Would I be right in describing Pagan Atheism as "an interest in pagan beliefs and traditions and the practice of said traditions, without a religious belief in the pagan system of deities"? In which case as a furry I completely understand it! But I wonder if it might not be best left outside the "religion" sphere...

Oh yeah you about Christian/Jewish atheism and stuff.
Well I was reading an article yesterday on Pagan Atheism.
What is your opinion on these beliefs?

    You're more Buddhist than me
Looks like I need to improve on The Noble Eightfold Path
I think I keep getting Quaker as I have pacifism and nature on high

Yeah I try to not talk religion to my family, but they keep preaching to me
Plus even though my mum spent like 5 years in Israel doing Bible study, whenever I mention a verse she doesn't like, she says it's not in the Bible. So I show her it, then she says that those verse are irrelevant as other verses contradict them. Wait, surely if the Bible contradicts itself that's an area for concern, right? Bah, next time it happens I'm just going to not reply - like you said. I've given up really, besides I know what will happen.

Well at least they aren't telling me that I should have never been born and I should die any more. So things are getting less tense, I just need to ignore all the stuff in the house now

And even though I haven't played games for months, it seems I won't be needing them. I'm going to do some volunteer work at the local nature reserve. Me and my axe know not the meaning of mercy, time to split stumpy.

Venting your rage on the forums can be beneficial, at least you won't end up unleashing it on your family!

My advice is to just "observe" what they say, as if you're studying their points of view, and not being the subject of them. Don't reply unless it's a direct question or you have a perfectly irrefutable quip for them.

The quiz's early answers seem to steer atheist beliefs down a single path, so I'm not too surprised by the results:
    1. Theravada Buddhism (100%)
    2. Unitarian Universalism (86%)
    3. Secular Humanism (78%)
    4. Mahayana Buddhism (73%)
    5. Nontheist (69%)
    6. Liberal Quakers (68%)
    7. Neo-Pagan (67%)
    8. Taoism (57%)
    9. New Age (54%)
    10. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (54%)
Top 5 atheist/nontheist/practically nontheist? Not surprised. (As an aside I was part of a humanist group when I was a child, possibly my parents trying to fill in the lack of a religion in my life? Too late, I was already interested in the concept of mortality at that stage - so much for that...)

Don't see how you keep getting Quaker though...

    Ok I re-took the quiz:
    100% secular humanism
    96% Unitarian universalism
    88% Liberal Qaker
    79% Neo-pagan
    76% Liberal Christian
    74% Theravada Buddhism
Hmmm I don't know which result I prefer interesting lol
    Have you tried it?
    Don't worry I'm in a weird mood
Anyway it's just intersting as it's really different from like a month a ago.

Oh the article seems to be a satire from what I can tell from the net - I should have checked it's authenticity first

haha I agree with you totally

I think I'm allowing my family situation to take a bit too much control over me
It's not that I'm becoming ant-Christian, it's just that whenever I hear someone sound like these hat-preachers I just loose it
And the self-righteousness of my family is driving me insane
Maybe I should just go back to computer games
Well at the moment I'm looking at some stuff on paganism and Buddhism to calm me down.
Oh a pagan put a link to this onion episode on teen shamanism - quite funny actually
    http://www.theonion.com/video/do-gla...cticing,17587/

I'm not going too mad am I?

Ok so I've just done the quiz on beliefnet here are the results:
    100% Liberal Quaker
    98% Unitarian Universalism
    86% Theravada Buddhism/Secular Humanism/Taoism

LOL I'm still panendeist though - I think at least
Any ideas on what I should do now, about how to get my family to stop driving me insane, and for me to keep calm. Maybe I should just leave off the forums - I don't want to have another embarrassing outburst lol
