Just don't say stuff you're not comfortable with people knowing...
For example you might want to mention why you're hear so people know how to support you, but you might not want people knowing where you live so don't say that... it's a bad example but it's sure ok...
I know this place is really daunting at first! But don't worry yeah? people are really nice and not judgemental

Ok, so I'm a buddy (someone who helps new people with the site)
Once you've finished with your profile, you should head over to the forums and post a new thread in arrivals and departures. Just tell people about yourself (what you want them to know), why you're here and stuff... It's up to you what you say Then I guess you should browse the forums and get used to the structure of everything And don't be afraid to talk to random people in a visitor message (VM) or private message (PM)
I would say more but I want to leave stuff for other people to tell you
