Thanks for the advice. That's pretty much what I've been doing; I'm taking all my maths and sciences because I might want to be a vet(Because animals are lovable)

I was in the same boat for the longest time. Best advice I can give is to leave yourself as many options as possible. But you don't even have to really consider it for another year and a half, so no rush.

Well I'm really glad you're so excited for university... and Waterloo is supposed to be a very good school. I'm a bit scared for the end of high school; I'm pretty excited to finally finish high school but I also don't know what I want to do afterwards.

Yeah, Calculus is a whole lot of algebra and not much else, I bet you'll love it. I'm pumped for my two university math classes, because they're Algebra and Calculus. Calculus is basically about two things: finding slopes of curves, and finding areas under curves; grade 12 Calc is essentially just the first half. It's super cool. It actually makes me wonder why the heck I put off going to university for two whole years, I'm so excited to go now.

Yes! Geometric proofs are quite fun. I forgot about those. I forget to answer your question before, I'm going into grade 11. I haven't done trigonometric identities yet, but it does sound like fun I also haven't taken calculus, but I plan on taking AP calculus in grade 12. I've been told calculus is advanced algebra so that sounds like a lot of fun!

Ugh, Twilight. Don't even get me started. The most disappointing moment of my life was reading the first book and having to acknowledge that it wasn't completely worthless. Just mostly worthless.

I generally love anything that involves manipulating equations. So anything in Algebra or Calculus. I'd say trigonometric identities was my single favourite unit ever, just because it's such pure mathematics. No word problems, no interpretation or graphing, barely any numbers. Geometric proofs were a lot of fun too.

I agree that Dion wasn't that great, I would have rather had Layton. I think anyone would have been better than Harper though.

And yay for being nerdy! I know I didn't bother to fill in my "about me", I'd rather talk about it! I don't really like romance novels, except for this one series that is classified as romance even though it isn't really. It involved vampires, werewolves and dragons but real ones, not sparkly fake vampires like in Twilight. It was pretty awesome though because it was more about saving the world than romance, except for random sex scenes mostly I'm more into thrillers and mystery books. I also like humourous books and ones that are thought-provoking and outlandish(Like Catcher in the Rye!) I don't read manga or watch anime but I have a couple friends who love it so I know a bit about it. Actually, I may go update my about me at some point.

What's your favourite kind of math? I personally love algebra(the more challenging ones though). I win at logic

I'm doing well, thanks. I admit that I wasn't completely devastated when Harper got re-elected. I mean, the man's a joke, but Dion didn't inspire all that much more confidence either. I was a lot more concerned with the American election at the time. A McPalin government would have been awful.

I'm actually not that into anime, despite the display picture. ^^; I don't dislike it, it's just that it was never part of the culture my friends and I were into. I'm more a computer / classic nerd than a japanophile. As for books, I'll take almost anything that doesn't bore me to death. Fantasy and sci-fi are great, and I've read an unhealthy number of teenage / young adult romance novels. The Golden Compass trilogy has been my favourite story for years, and doesn't look like it'll be dethroned any time soon. Lucifer's Hammer is brilliant; if you've never read it I highly suggest trying to find a copy. Veronika Decides to Die is another one I just read recently, and I loved it. And of course The Notebook will always be amazing. The pretty much outlines the kind of stuff I like reading most.

How about you? It's great to meet another math nerd; there are far too few of us. Hopefully that'll change at Waterloo. Your 'about me' is rather sparse, so I can only guess at what to ask about. Tastes in music? It says you have junior high school under education though, does that mean you're in grade 12 now?

Yay! I just read your "about me" section. Yay for math! And yay for reading. I'm guessing you like anime, but other than that what kind of books do you like?

Yay! That makes me feel good after all those people who were really angry that I don't like Harper. Probably because they hate Obama and he's a democrat and Harper is Conservative.

    So how are you?
