Hey Nat. Yeah It has been a while. :P I actually have been busy in college and work. but somehow I work in some pages to my book. Mostly just some fun little scenes as of late, but it works.
Actually I have heard of nanowrimo. But I just have never had the balls to do it. -___- Maybe this year. I kinda do have a side project I have been working 0on that I might be able to bust out in a month. Why, looking for moral support? :P

I'm doing well in school this year, considering I've been out of school for almost two years now. It's mainly 101 classes, so nothing to sweat about.

And you? How are you doing? That's awesome to hear about you writing again. Sometimes it just take sa little break from your main project to jump back on the band wagon.
And I'm about to drool on my keyboard right nopw so I will talk to you later :P

    Hey Will,
Wow we haven't talked for a while! How have you been doing lately? Are you still working on your novel? I've just gotten back to writing more now that school has started again. Over the summer I didn't write much other than a roleplay story with a friend I'm considering doing National Novel Writing Month again this year too if I have the time. Have you heard about NaNoWriMo before? It sounds like it would be up your alley if you're interested in giving it a shot!
Are you in school at the moment? If so, how is your year so far? I hope you've got some interesting classes.
    I hope you're doing well!
    Nat.

Thanks. It wasn't really hard to plan it all out. I just kinda went from point A, and did a series of "what-if's", and impossibly awesome situations that he had to go though until he could defeat the bad guy. All the while he's peeling back layers of reality and diving into the flith of the underworld, from gangs and drug wars, to military takeovers, government corruption, and even the hyper-religious Galactic government. That, plus all the Teenage, reall life stuff that comes up in conjection to all of this, his best friend crushing on him, his mother remarrying, ect. It's a pretty rough draft, but I have some idea of the major points along the way. but I have yet to define what happens in say, book 4 and book five. I'm just writing along and seeing what happens. I keep saying that my series is going to have as many books as it needs.

Mainly I just keep looking at real life and fiction and putting my characters in that position. From stubbing my toe at work, this whole "identity crisis" thing i have going on, to stuff happening on television. If i like what i see, or it highlights a good point of the character, then i work it into my plot somewhere, even if it's several books later.

That's a cool idea,m the colors of the scars being symbols, sometimes "cool". So are you going to be focusing on the whole "drugs are bad" thing, or are you taking a different angle on it?

That actually sounds like a cool idea. I hope to see it on the shelves someday I'm sure a lot of young people would love to read it. (I know my cousins probably would!) Was planning out the whole series difficult or did you have an idea to begin with? I know that with my story it was just hard to keep everything going.

This is a little excerpt from my story:
There wasn’t a drug in the Underground that was pure or safe, and Wires weren’t any different. Some would call it exciting to do something so dangerous- you didn’t know whether one drag would be your last. Drugs were poison, it didn’t take a doctor to see it. Already, B-Den’s arms were blotchy with specks of neon colour. The drugs tended to do that, twisting the pigment in your skin. Some thought it looked cool, like oldschool tattoos. It scared me. The more drugs you did, the darker and larger the patches became, eventually they overran your entire system. You knew someone was the walking dead when you shook a neon hand. It matched the night life, though. The colours represented the Underground. I wanted to stay as far away from that as possible.

It's based in the future when basically the whole world is going to hell in a handbasket. The main character is being hunted down for an unknown reason from his past and he has to make some pretty tough decisions.

LOL thanks. I love writing Sci-Fi.

Here's the prospective back cover to my book:

"John Leavitt is just your average kid. His best friend thinks that he is too smart for his own good, and his mother praises him for being "just like your father". His little sister annoys him, and his father haunts him.

But for a week now, John wakes up screaming in his nightmares. He hears voices, sees images of a planet, a people that grew so powerful that they destroyed themselves. He dreams of a mad man lost in time that pushed these great people to the edge of their survival. He dreams of their ultimate destruction, and their last hope.

John now has their last relic, after light years though space. An armored combat suit, capable of many great things: super-human speed, strength, agility, flight, and a barrage of weaponry. He saves people from burning buildings, and fights off a Man desperate enough to destroy an entire solar system for the secret hidden within the Robo-suit.

We do not need superheroes anymore.
We need true heroes, and some extraordinary circumstances.

    We need Roboman…."

LOL it's a new twist on the superhero concept, having him deal equally with saving the world, homework, chores, girls, friendship, ect. But yes, I have my first manuscript ready, with him finding the suit and meeting his "friends". I have the seqel abotu a third written right now, but i have the entire seris planned out...from the begining of time to the end of time :P ! I'm such a dork...but i love it.

    What's your story about?

    Hey Kyeto,
What is your sci-fi story about? I'm a bit of a writer and sci-fi nut myself. I think it's really cool that you're already well into your sequel for it.
    Nat.
