You so are! Don't deny it.
I'd need to complete another application form for this other company. Since I dont work there yet it would still be normal application processes I think. It's being arranged by an exterior company, so yeah.
    I'm tired too.
No its not more than normal, if we didn't split the course up we'd just have extra ones at the end of the year. There's two different exams, so we do half in january and half in may/june.
Uh, I'm not sure about sixth form policy on it, but in high scholl science we did 9 exams in total and I resat one about 4 times. So yeah.
Oh dear. Sounds eventful. Nothing like that happens at my school.
I think she just has personal problems She has two kids already but apparently one of them is pretty ill at the moment, so I can let her off. She was nice last night though. She's not a bad person, just attacks the wrong people is all. I don't think I'd want her pregnant...the mood swings and hormones... oh my.
What's a semester, is that your version of a term? We have 3 per year and breaks inbetween. Ahh, yeah I did a similar thing for German. We did 3 written pieces and 3 talking pieces and the best two were sent off. It took some of he pressue off
Oh, god only knows. I can understand wearing dress code clothes most of the time but when we pay £1 or something and it all goes to charity, I feel it's a bit selfish to say no just because he doesnt like it. We used to have mufti days a few times a year to raise money for charity, and we'd have cake sales and stuff going on as well. In november for children in need - nothing. Stupid new head.

    Am not cute!
Bahaha. Stomach acid. Now that's something I never thought of!
Oh! That's a lot of time, yuh. Why would you need more references though, if at any point, it is just a transfer? I didn't think Saturday would come so fast. Tomorrow I have to go to the school again. I'm tired as hell. :/
That's lucky and super fun that you're friend is going to be there too! Just makes it all the better!!
Aha, that makes sense, but that also means that it's a lot more tests than normal. Lol. That does sound harsh!!!!
Resits happen often in school? I know a lot of people who have to do them in college.
Talking about college. News. Some girl moved out of the college hostel, and ran away with a guy. No one can find her yet. She's technically "missing". Most prolly, she'll marry him or something. The next day after it happened, our general English teacher came into class and spoke about relationships at our age the entire hour! It was hilarious, but completely embarrassing!
Doesn't smile much huh? Maybe she should get pregnant soon. Lol. My teacher was exactly the same till she got pregnant. She's in such an amazing mood these days...the whole motherly glow and the works!!
Basically, it's like every year there are two semesters. Per semester (3-4 months approx), we have 3 Continuous Assessments (CA's) out of which the best two marks are counted into the marks of the end semester examination. So, basically, if you do well, in the 2 out of 3 or even all 3 CA's, you're bound to do well in the end sem exams, because the portions are what we had for all 3 CA's. Thankfully what we have for each CA is not counted for the next!
BAHAHA. That sounds so insane! Yeh, why can't you wear your own clothes? Lol. I hear you!

Aw, bless haha. You're so cute.
If she stomach acid got to them it wouldn't be very good! Plus, I'd wanna know how they got there.
I just sent off the application the other day, but I'm not sure if I'll be doing that specific one anymore. We had the pre-volunteer workshop today, since any of the positions people at school got were arranged through another company. Apparently the woman I've been speaking to via phone has tried to contact this company about volunteer positions but she's had no reply, so she's not sure if they've lost finding, in which case volunteer positions are unlikely. But there's another company I'll be transferred to hopefully, which does the same kind of thing, it will just lengthen the process and I'll have to get even more references. I'm excited about it though, I found out my friend is doing the same thing, so I'll be a bit more comfortable there knowing that!
I think they split it up because it's less to cover in a term that way. Like, for media we do the written exam (which by the way is extremely harsh, I did about 7 pages or writing), and then we have coursework to do until may. In psychology we'll do three units to start off with: social psych, individual differences and biological psych, then do the exam on it in january, and then we do attachment, memory and research methods and do the exam at the end of the year. The same thing happens with sociology. It's just easier to revise for I think, and it gives us the chance to do resits if need be.
Yeah, exactly! She's okay when she's in a good mood though, but that only happens once in a blue moon. She's not a bad person, I just think she might be going through a rough patch, because she doesn't smile much.
Every month? Are they like, proper ones of just ones to assess where you're at? You'll do fine, I'm sure! Just keep working at it, you're a smart person.
Ohh that sounds really fun! My school don't do anything like that, which is a shame. I even found out today that my new head teacher 'doesn't believe in mufti days'. That means that for things like children in need and comic relief, the school will have no fundraisers that everyone will take part in. It kinda' makes me lose faith in him, because if it's for charity I see no problem in letting us wear our own clothes. I mean, any other time of the year, sure, but really?
I had my one today. I forget what we learnt... Actually we didn't really stick to the aims. She's a bit suckish.

I guess they are. You know, when I'm sleepy, I act the exact way I do when I'm drunk. I say weird random things. Lol. My mum and I, when we talk, like when I'm getting ready for bed, and she comes and sits with me, I say such stupid random things, smack dab in the middle of our conversation and she asks me if I had any alcohol that day. Haha.
I was just thinking though, what if we really had butterflies in our stomach when we said we have butterflies in our stomach? That'd be so weird!! O.o

Oh, wow, that sounds fantastic Hollie, you should definitely send in the app real fast! You'll be good at that, I think!
I have a lot of friends to shop for. I don't even know what to get them. More importantly I don't think I have enough money!!
Ohhh, they do that? That's so weird. Why do they split it up?? Best of luck, I'm sure you'd have done well!!
Wow, that's a horrid teacher! 12 is way over the top. Like really! We didn't get that much work at all in school and nor do we in college!!
Yeh, we do have a lot of them. Every. Single. Month. Thanks! I can't screw these up!
They are basically a 2-5 day inter-collegiate events that a college hosts. There are competitions and prizes and they're a lot of fun. Each college hosts their own cultural program, so in a year, that's a whole lot of culturals we go for. They are talent competitions mostly, and skill based. Depends on the type of culturals. Most are similar! And they are tons of fun!!
Bahahaha. We have a basic psych teacher like that! I detest her.

Stupid things are the best conversation starters!
It's good to see you around more, too. I've missed you so muccchhhh!
I'll hopefully be helping out every saturday or something with this charity that helpes people recovering from things like depression, anxiety and eating disorders. I'll meet up informally with a person I'm paired with and we'll go out for a few hours.
I know! IT used to be so much worse before some of my old friends stopped speaking to me. In like year 8 there were about 7 birthdays in that month that I had to buy things for. No need to say it was difficult. It's basically another Christmas but I don't get anything.
I only had 4 exams to do because the A-levels are split into two sections - the january ones and the june ones. So mine were over in about a week. I'll get my results in March, so I dont know how I did yet. I'm dreading it though.
I mean, most of my teachers are decent, but there's one in particular who's mean. She gave us like 5 pieces in one lesson, because if she's in a bad mood we get it taken out on us, lucky sixth former, eh? We've complained about that, but nothing will happen. 12 pieces was a bit harsh, and then when we lost track of what we needed to give in, we were blamed. We were like 'miss you gave us 12 pieces, we've lost count!'
Good luck in your tests! You seem to have a lot of them haha. What's college culturals?
Oh, I know what it's like! My psych teacher is just...wow. She can't hold the attention of a class. She's got a really slow and dreary voice, and yet she manages to go too fast anyway! Needless to say, we don't do very well in her half of the topic.

Bahaha. I say stupid things. I have foot in mouth disease as my aunt would say! Oh, yeah, I remember all those random things that I said. LOL. Gaaad, I can't believe I did.
Aw, thanks Holl! You always make me feel good about the things I do! It really makes me feel confident when going about it! On top of that, it feels even better to be getting back on here and getting at HL after so long with fresh eyes. Feels goooood! Haha!
Oooh! What volunteer work? I hope you get it! And send it sooooon!!
    I can't wait either!
Wow, that's a lot of babies. And it's so weird. there are a lot of birthdays in Feb. I just realized. And that's a lot, considering shopping for birthdays is never easy! Haha. You're exams got over so fast?? How did you do?
Yeh, teachers tend to do that. The more I hate them, the more mean they are to me in life, but I can't help hating thing for being who they are...as teachers!
WHUT? 12 pieces? Are you serious? Damn.
Coll is a pain when it comes to work. So much studying. Tests coming up in about a week. We also have our college culturals somewhere in between and since we're the ones hosting, there's going to be a lot of work. I have a cultural programme I have to go to tomorrow. I don't even feel like it though. I want sleep. I haven't started studying, and it's so hard to pay attention in class when some person up there just seems to drone on and on in those sleepy, hypnotic tones. Can barely keep my eyes open. Forget my ears - I tune out sooner than you can say frobscottle.

I'm glad you're back to your normal self. You always say interesting things when you talk loads
That sounds really great! You'll be good at that I think. Good luck with it, I really hope you enjoy it.
I need to send off my application for volunteer work, I keep forgetting to do it.
    YAYY. I can't wait.
I've not been up to much. Started the February birthday shopping sprees...since it's such a popular month for babies to be born so loads of my friends and families have birthdays then. Um, not a lot more tbh. Plenty of homework and essays to do because the exams are over so teachers are back into their old habits of making our lives hell. I got 12 pieces from one lesson last week and it took me about 3 hours to do. Ridiculous!
    What about you?

    Pheeeewwwww!
I'm tired as hell. This past week has been exhausting to say the least! Although, these days, looks like I'm back to my normal self--way too talkative and such a pain in the ass.
I just started volunteering work yesterday. I'm helping school going kids (and a college girl) with their English. My friend and I are working on it together. A lot of the less privileged in our country don't have English speaking skills here, and it's pretty much required these days for jobs and generally as well. It's part of our school course, but I still think it's a wonderful thing to do. I'll be going there every Saturday till mid March. I'm totally excited! The kids are adorable, and it's fun. But..there's always a but. Ohmgosh so tiring!
But I won't be as busy after this week, so it's catching up time, girlie!
    Thanks so much!
what have you been upto, hmmmmm?!
