I really don't like to leave my house that much because I think my abusive ex is looking for me and stuff. I try my best to get out of the house, but I'm scared most of the time. I just want to stop beinf depressed and suicidal.

Probably a good idea I think I had the same problem actually. I needed to get out more and just take some chances to see if things could improve, and what do you know, they did. As much as sometimes their ideas really don't sound like the best thing in the world, they could really help you.

I can try that, but my mom and therapist already talked about me wanting to be on meds. They think that's not a good idea for me. They think I just need to get out of the house more and stop being so isolated. I want to talk to my mom about being on meds, but she'll get really worried or something and make someone put me in a hospital. I think I'm going to talk to my therapist first before I talk to my mom

If your therapist thinks it's for the best, it probably is. You need to tell someone what it is that you want, and if that's meds, if you really think they'll help, then you should ask your therapist about it. If your therapist disagrees, ask what others ways there are to help you out and help you feel better. Explain that your mum isn't helping and maybe have your therapist explain to your mum in a way she'll understand.

I'm kind of afraid to talk to my therapist about wanting to be on meds because she'll tell my mom that I want to kill myself. My mom knew about me wanting to die the first time because I called this hotline so I can get some help. She was really worried about me and she was going to have them put me in a hospital if I wanted to kill myself again. I don't want that to happen to me. I can't even stay happy for a long period of time

I don't think it's a lot of use being put on meds. I've had them myself and, while they made me cheery for a few hours, there doesn't seem to be any long lasting effect from them, from my experience. Maybe you'd do better with them You could ask your therapist to see what they suggest, maybe they could talk your mum into allowing you to get them.

When I first started therapy, they asked her if I should be put on meds, and she said no because I don't need them. I know for a fact that I need them. I'm almost an adult and she won't let me make decisions for myself. I'm looking forward to my birthday, but I just think that I'm not going to be happy. My birthday is in 15 days

Don't let your mum stop you doing something if you think it'll make you better And just think that your birthday is something to look forward to and get excited for!

No I haven't tried using neither one of them. I'm trying to get put on meds, but my mom doesn't want me on them. I don't know how I'm going to get better if I'm always depressed and wanting to kill myself. I know I'm not going to get any better before my birthday

Ah...have you tried using the Live Help or HelpLINK features here to talk to someone? It's important you talk to people about getting yourself back into a positive mood again, which will happen!
