Yeah, I'm the same way. Although just for once I'd like to be able to complete some work without hours of furious typing the night before the deadline. And we have masters and doctorate programmes here in England too, although they might not work in quite the same way. I don't have a clue what I want to do afterwards. I've been applying mainly for internships in strategic consultancy, but I don't know if I'd want a career in it. Psychology sounds like it might be more interesting xD.

Aww, bummer! But agreed... it's probably best that you have as few distractions as possible. xD I am a MAJOR procrastinator, but I keep my grades up... so I don't really see it as a problem. Good luck with your summer internships! I'm applying to masters and doctorate programs (I seem to recall you're not in the US, so hopefully you know what I mean when I say "masters" and "doctorate"...?). I'd like to become a clinical psychologist in the years to come... but if that doesn't work out, I'll settle for becoming a marriage and family therapist. =) And yourself?

It would have been a fun start to the weekend, but it didn't turn up this morning and there's no post on Sundays. Probably a good thing, though. Like you, I'm applying for things. Although in my case it's summer internships rather than grad schools (psychology?). Which mainly due for midnight tonight. Yay procrastination!

Interesting. I'll have to check it out, then. Sounds like a fun start to the weekend!

Well, I THOUGHT I had to go to work today... but apparently, I'm not on the schedule. So I'll work on graduate school applications (due on Tuesday/Friday) and browse TeenHelp until the second facilitated chat room discussion (which I signed up for).

Not the most exciting of weekends, but oh well.

Programmable people, rented out to the rich by the shadowy organisation known as the Dollhouse. I'm not sure it's as good as Firefly, but I like it. And hopefully my Season 2 DVDs turn up tomorrow, so that's part of my weekend plan. Other than that, I'm not sure yet. How about you?

I haven't, actually. I've heard of the show, though. What's it about again?

Any fun plans for this weekend?

Did you ever see any of Dollhouse?

I'm glad someone understands what I'm trying to do here. And perhaps "fundamentally disagree" was an overstatement. You're one of not many R+D posters whose advice I always respect, even when I disagree. In fact, I'd be slightly worried by a girl whose advice I always agreed with. The world needs more sensitive girls who dream of true love.

And well done getting my nerdy reference, by the way. That's another point on the checklist.

Well, mainly, it's because you mentioned Ramona Flowers. =) I've used her as an example when discussing natural-color dye vs. fake-color dye, and most people don't recognize the name. D= Then I looked up the reference to eating crackers in bed, because I wasn't sure it meant what I thought it did... =P

Don't get me wrong - I think you bring up a LOT of valid points, especially when giving advice to the boys/men who post in R&D. As for where we disagree fundamentally (and I'm not quite sure what those points would be, exactly)... maybe it's because I'm a hopeless romantic, a bit of a prude, highly empathic/emotional, etc. Who knows. =D
