There were the stadium lights but otherwise yeah it was dark, they played it open air at Twickenham [rugby stadium]. It is cool I must admit
I've actually saw them twice, once on the A Matter of Life and Death tour and another on the Somewhere back in time Tour

Fear of the dark is epic 
especially the live version.
I remember seeing them live and they had to delay that song because it took ages to get dark xD
I think Aces High, Hallowed be thy Name and Rime of the Ancient Mariner are their best 3 (the last one is just under 14mins btw)

Personally my favourite is aces high but then it's about the Battle of Britain so I would like it xD
