The tree is relatively small, yes. It only goes up to my chest. It hasn't grown for years, I'm pretty sure it's dead. But, we still keep it. Because Twiggy was an amazing squirrel. I miss sitting next to him on the porch. I'm not exagerrating at all, he'd sit right next to me and I'd feed him nuts right from my hand. Even if I didn't have food, he'd just come and sit next to me sometimes. We have tons of pictures of him.
Aaaw, a penguin named Earl. That sounds so cute. I have a stuffed elephant named Oswald, I love him sooo much.

I guess he died. After a few years we didn't see him anymore, then we moved. Twiggy was great, when we gave him nuts sometimes he'd bury them in the yard for later. He buried a walnut and it grew into a little tree. When we moved, we brought it with us. It's out in the garden in the back yard.
My aunt had a pet flying squirrel. She got him when I was about 4, and she let me name him. I named him Earl.

Well, kinda. He (or she, no idea) lived in a tree in our yard back when I lived in the city. I named him Twiggy. I was sitting on the porch one day eating cookies, and he came down and started sniffing, then he slowly came closer and closer. And stared at the cookies. I broke a little piece off and tossed it to him, and he ate it. Then he came and sat right next to me. We started feeding him all the time, he'd take food right out of my hand. I'd never seen a wild squirrel that wasn't afraid of people. Once our front door was open, and he sat outside and knocked on the screen door wanting food! Sometimes he'd climb up to the window and stare in. Like, "feeeed meeee..." Twiggy was so cool.
