^^ True, I think I will once the guitar has strings again (my mom has two strings broken off of the guitar... which is odd because they don't usually break in pairs.) That's so cool, with the computers and all.

that's the problem with music teachers. Play what you want to play. Just sit down and figure it out, little by little and practice over and over again. Make it sound like what's on the record. Hey, the new playback stuff on the computer is great. You can slow down a piece of music and the pitch remains the same. I'm doing that and you really find out how they made it. Play what makes you happy. fuck the teachers. (figuratively of course)

Sounds like you get a variety of choice in what you play, I have to take guitar in music, and most of my stuff is what the teacher decides to teach (if it was up to me, I'd be playing songs with chords by now.)

Yeah, I know about Harvey Milk.
All I play on the guitar is old country music and a little rock. Mostly 3 chord "doo-wacka-doo". Not very imaginative but fun.

A good movie is Milk (since you haven't seen any good ones...) it's about Harvey Milk and his fight for gay rights, and then there is also Jane Eyre (through I kind of doubt that one but I found it really good.)- Also, what can you play on the guitar? (So far I just have most of Yankee Doudle and 12 bar rock...)
