You want to know why I'm afraid?
Because here's the real me:
I'm an idiot. You're really smart and I'm not. I swear like a fucking sailor but I know you don't like swearing so I don't when we talk. I'm fat. I can't talk to someone without going into a panic. I cry in the bathroom at school during lunch. I push everyone away and that's why I spend most of my day in my room. I can talk to people online because I know that if they judge me I can just delete my profile and never talk to them again. All my teachers worry about me. I'm suicidal every night. I'm so triggered right now it's ridiculous and I'm so excited because later I plan I taking my blade into the bathroom and ripping up my skind. I'm an awful person who just lets everyone down because she's so screwed up! Because her emotions and her fears always get the best of her and she disappoints everyone.
That's me. That's my "thing"

Everyone has "things"
these are psychological things in us that are unique
made from experiences and life
they shape who we are
how we act
what we want
and how we'll get there
