Thanks :] I'm not religious, but they're quotes from Buddhist/tao texts, i think the first one if from a book called "The tao te ching" and the other was spoken by the dahlia lama. Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism are all about self discovery and realization of how your own emotions effect the way you believe your life is. Much good advice and quotes to be had.
You should look into it sometime if you appreciate the quotes in my sig.
