Very nice, man! I am sure once you start eating more, your bench will shoot up a bit. Lots of strength gains to be had on all fronts when you start giving your body some sufficient fuel.

Sure, why not? I was on a cut from January to a few days ago, so everything went a little slower than normal. Other than my shitty, permanently stalled bench press, I've had some decent progress. Up to a 137.5kgx5 back squat and a 155kgx3 deadlift. Also started front squatting on deadlift days, which has been fun.

Yeah man, for sure. PM me all the specifics. Oh 770 working weight, so your 1RM totals would be vastly different. That is one of the things I love most about lifting- the solitude. It's just you against the weights. If you haven't read it already check out an article or story called "The Iron" by Henry Rollins. Lol I figured it'd eventually come down to the bedroom with you. I have not been on fitocracy but I may check it out. I've been keeping a log on bb.com though.

I'm actually fairly heavy. I'll PM specifics if you're interested. That 770 is working weight, though. I've never tested my max on anything, although I want to see just how much I can squat in the near future.

As for what got me into powerlifting, it was partly realised that I needed to do something physical before I got too out of shape. I stopped rowing ages ago now. I hate all forms of cardio, which ruled out most of the usual activities, and I wanted something solitary that I could do on my own schedule, so organised sports were out. Beyond that, I want to get really fucking strong, at least in part so I can throw girls around the bedroom without breaking a sweat. No joke.

Anyway, if you're looking for a way to stay on track, are you on Fitocracy? It's helped keep me accountable.

Hey man, if it works it works. That actually sounds kind of like the "zig-zag" diet. 770 is a pretty good total man! And ah, the coveted 1000lb total. I'd ask your body weight but I know that's not allowed. I always assumed you were pretty light though, making the 1000 total even more impressive. But yeah man, I need to get back on the horse. What made you interested in powerlifting man?

Sort of IF-ish? On lifting days, I eat a lot (mostly clean), and supplement with lots of protein aiming for 1g/lb. On non-lifting days I live off black coffee for most of the day, then eat normally from 7pm or so until bedtime. It probably isn't the most efficient diet, especially as I'm not really counting calories, but I've been gaining strength and cutting fat at the same time so it can't be all bad. Aiming for 1000lb total by next summer, currently at 770 or so.

That program has gotten many people lots of gains. Yeah power cleans are tricky. I've done them in the past, but I was never 100% correct on form so I stopped before I injured myself. I've just been doing a basic pull/push/legs routine until I get accustomed to lifting again. My strength is abysmal in comparison to my weight, but I added weight to the bar this week which is a step in the right direction. What's your diet like?

Fuck yeah competition! Get back in there and nail it. I'm doing Starting Strength at the moment, although I've subbed out power cleans because I can't do them without hitting myself in the throat. Pull-ups and dumbbell rows instead.

Damn dude. Nice work. I went through a bad funk, haven't lifted in a while and got fat lol. I am just getting back into lifting and you just hit my competitive button. Keep me updated on your progress? Are you doing a specific program?
