Yeah, it'd be hard to find those instruments in concert band. Have you heard of the Dresden Dolls? Some of their music can be a little triggering (like "Bad Habit"), but they're really good- the only instruments are drums, piano, and vocals. They have kind of, like, a rock-cabaret type feel, if that makes sense at all. :P The Fray are really good, I don't know too much of their stuff but I do like what I've heard!

I understand you completely. I also know how to play piano. I mean it's just like a mallet instrument to me, I just use fingers. But I agree with you. I'd love to learn how to play the violin and guitar. But in concert band, nobody really plays this instruments. I love the piano. I listent to piano rock bands like The Fray. So it's really cool to play those piano pieces like "How to Save a Life." I think the piano is so cool because you can play both treble clef and bass clef. I actually was started on a bell set and xylophone. Those are also some of my favorite instruments.

Playing an instrument is so rewarding. Even if you don't pursue it as a career, it's such a nice skill to have, y'know? I love that I can play beautiful music whenever I want.

Thanks. Yeah, I'd say singing counts. All the instruments I play are all C instruments. So its not that hard for me. I actually haven't been playing for that long. I'd say I've been playing 3 to 4 years now. Compared to my other friends, they have been playing for about 7 years.

I'm going to see Rascal Flatts in concert. Thank you, I'm really excited to go. I also play the flute. I play the flute for marching band. In concert band I play mallet percussion.

Well I'm glad you're enjoying your summer. I have a few plans. I'm going to my first concert this summer. So I'm excited fir that. In like two or three weeks I have band camp.but that's really all I have planned.

I'm doing alright, enjoying my summer break. :P I don't have any plans this summer, but it's so nice to know I have two whole months to myself! I don't like school too much :P
