I think you're notified if you're quoted in your forum posts, but as far as blogs go, I'm not really too sure. Your best bet is probably checking back often. For me I find it easier by going to my profile and going under the 'statistics' tab and there will be an option for something like 'Find all threads started by USERNAME'. It's a lot quicker than finding your thread through the forums, especially if you post to a super active one.
