I view objectively enough, thank you very much
And maybe I believe that my moral standards are correct? I mean, I'm open to suggestions, but unless someone finds something different that corresponds with what my God says...then good luck getting me to change my opinion.

Abuse of any person, or animal isn't moral at all...duh... And as for condemning homosexuality - while it is a sin, only God can judge (although a lot of people play God)

And no, I have different moral standards to those who also claim to be Christians. I have never been indoctrinated - I believe what I believe to be true. That's it.

I see. I feel that perhaps you fail to view objectively, though. I'd ask you where you get such (pretty arrogant, I'm afraid) certainty from - but I'm guessing indoctrination of Biblical belief. I'd have to ask though, whether you feel that, for instance, shaving is or isn't wrong?

Additionally, your argument really fails to consider that anything but your moral standards are correct. I try to be a good person, but I cannot believe in any deity I've ever been introduced to - especially those as morally despicable (as I see from a scientific viewpoint of morality) as the Abrahamic religions. Does that make me a worse person than, maybe, a priest who abuses his position to harm minors, or condemns homosexuality (which again, I'd contest is not 'wrong'), or something else humanely unacceptable, but who 'accepts Jesus'? That doesn't seem fair (Not that I'd care, since obviously I have no wish to accept Jesus, but I'd rather there was no abuse of other people...), is it really moral?

So basically, my point is this: you conform to moral standards that you've been told (and probably indoctrinated to believe) are the highest possible, but I'm afraid that it's really not true to say that of all 'moral standards' - remember that the 9/11 Jihadists probably believed that they were upholding the highest moral standards.

Sorry for the late reply - I haven't been on here in a while

Most people I know, even those who claim to be "Christian" think certain things are okay, when morally I know they are wrong. I'm nowhere near perfect, but I don't engage in things I know are wrong. Like abortion - morally wrong, or being openly gay or whatever - wrong.

    Hey, Hannah,

I'm Adam - I saw this in a recent post of yours and it wasn't relevant to the thread, but I wanted to ask about it:

You think you have higher moral standards than others...I'm just wondering how so?
