I see. I feel that perhaps you fail to view objectively, though. I'd ask you where you get such (pretty arrogant, I'm afraid) certainty from - but I'm guessing indoctrination of Biblical belief. I'd have to ask though, whether you feel that, for instance, shaving is or isn't wrong?

Additionally, your argument really fails to consider that anything but your moral standards are correct. I try to be a good person, but I cannot believe in any deity I've ever been introduced to - especially those as morally despicable (as I see from a scientific viewpoint of morality) as the Abrahamic religions. Does that make me a worse person than, maybe, a priest who abuses his position to harm minors, or condemns homosexuality (which again, I'd contest is not 'wrong'), or something else humanely unacceptable, but who 'accepts Jesus'? That doesn't seem fair (Not that I'd care, since obviously I have no wish to accept Jesus, but I'd rather there was no abuse of other people...), is it really moral?

So basically, my point is this: you conform to moral standards that you've been told (and probably indoctrinated to believe) are the highest possible, but I'm afraid that it's really not true to say that of all 'moral standards' - remember that the 9/11 Jihadists probably believed that they were upholding the highest moral standards.

    Hey, Hannah,

I'm Adam - I saw this in a recent post of yours and it wasn't relevant to the thread, but I wanted to ask about it:

You think you have higher moral standards than others...I'm just wondering how so?

I love to read (I'm a total bookworm!), and write (especially poems, but I like writing just about anything). I love music, and I've been playing the piano for 9 years. Just anything about music makes me go woohoo. I also love singing, although I'm not that great at it. I love going for walks - it helps clear my head. I also love hanging out with my friends - we're such goofs!
    Music
Ok, well, I pretty much love all music, but I'll just put my absolute favourites down here: Bethel, Hillsong, Planetshakers, ARISE, The Ember Days, V.Rose, Icon For Hire and RED
    Movies
Ohh boy. Here we go again.
I love all the Harry Potter movies (I've watched them all soooo many times), Wild Child (me and my sister can probably quote the whole movie, not kidding), Pay it Forward, Phoebe in Wonderland, Indianna Jones, Flicka 1 and 2, Dreamer, Facing the Giants, Inception, and To Save a Life
    Television
I actually don't watch that much TV, but lemme see what I can come up with . . . : McLeod's Daughters (I'm obsessed!), Criminal Minds, Ponies, Hottest Home Baker, Glee and any cake shows (my secret obsession)
    Games
    Mafia ;)
    Books
The Mark of the Lion series, Patrick Bowers thrillers, anything by Ted Dekker, The Shack, anything by Melody Carlson, Pony Club Secrets, Pony Club Rivals and Diamond Spirit series
    Sports
    Ugh, sport . . . but horse-riding is a sport, so I will un-ugh
    Heroes
My Aunty, for taking us in when no one else would <3
    Favorite quotes
"Don't let the world change your smile...Let your smile change the world"
"Each day she goes on is a day that she's brave, fighting the lie that giving up is the way. Each moment of courage her own life she saves, when she throws the pills out a hero is made."
