- Hello there! I'm Brandon. Pleased to meet you!
I would like to think that I'm incredibly friendly, however, that is for you to decide!
I'm a 19 year old boy from a small rural farm town located in Southwestern Ontario. I was born to two loving parents; Pete and Louise. I came out to my friends and family when I was 13 years old. I met struggles growing up as a gay person, being that I'm from a very conservative Christian valued farm town. I faced prejudicial comments daily as well as the rare physical altercations at my local high school. Due to these reasons, I had dropped out of school to find solace elsewhere. At 16, I had packed my bags and head to downtown Toronto. Being a teen on my own, I came across many struggles. Looking for a place to stay, struggling to find work without an education or even promise of a future. I grew up fast – I learnt from the world around me. Wisdom grew inside of me. I moved all over Ontario to cities such as Kitchener, London, Hamilton, Sudbury. I had many relationships with men that were less than fortunate. Relationships involving men with addictions to drugs and alcohol, to men that were physically and emotionally abusive. After some years, I returned home. I started chipping away at my diploma through my hometown high school, as well as readjusted to home life with my parents. There was a time when I thought that it was no use. I was overwhelmed with the thought that I'd ever graduate. Seeing my peers at my age group graduate was a shocker. It really opened my eyes. Seeing the class before mine graduate was even harder. I felt ashamed; embarrassed. But still, I kept working at it. Before I knew it, I was in grade 11 doing all university level prep courses. I had turned my life around – over-come my barriers. I had proven better to myself. I have faced depression, social anxiety and self-image issues. With the help of positivity and changing my thoughts and setting goals for myself, I have overcome these issues almost entirely; I have done it naturally without prescriptions. With the help of amazing friends and family, and with my faith. What I am saying, is that it will all become better. Just promise you'll never lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. That this all shall pass. Keep positive thoughts in your mind, and do not let your fears get the best of you.
If you ever need advice, or even just a friendly, understanding listener, my ears are always open.
I am here for you. ♥

- "All beings tremble before violence. All fear death, all love life. See yourself in others. Then whom can you hurt? What harm can you do?" – Buddha
"We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world." – Buddha
"It is better to travel well than to arrive." – Buddha
"What we think, we become." – Buddha
"A jug fills drop by drop." – Buddha
"An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea." – Buddha
"To be idle is a short road to death and to be diligent is a way of life; foolish people are idle, wise people are diligent." –*Buddha
"To understand everything is to forgive everything." –*Buddha
"Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity." – Buddha
"Have compassion for all beings, rich and poor alike; each has their suffering. Some suffer too much, others too little." – Buddha
"Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost...
The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men - cries out for universal brotherhood - for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world - millions of despairing men, women, and little children - victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people.
Soldiers! don’t give yourselves to brutes - men who despise you - enslave you - who regiment your lives - tell you what to do - what to think and what to feel! Who drill you - diet you - treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts! You don’t hate! Only the unloved hate - the unloved and the unnatural! Soldiers! Don’t fight for slavery! Fight for liberty!" – Charlie Chaplin
