Oh I see, so you believe it is that way, but you don't think it should be? I get it now, thanks. But just in case you don't know: God doesn't view some sins as "just little sins" (like lying, for example) and some things like suicide as huge enough to send you to hell. God views ALL sins as sin. Whether you have told a little white lie, or whether you have killed (whether you kill yourself or someone else)...He views both equally as sin. And the thing is, the bible says that we have ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, so we would ALL be going to hell because we have been contaminated with sin and therefor HAVE to be separated from God/Heaven because they are perfect. Sin separates us from God and Heaven, so we would have to go to hell to pay for our sins. But God doesn't want that; He loves us. That's why He made a way for us to got to Heaven and be with Him forever anyways. He did that by sending His son, Jesus, to Earth to die on the cross and take all of our sins with Him to pay the penalty for them. Then, 3 days later, God rasied Him from the dead and defeated our sins! So now, ANYONE who receives this gift of having their sins taken away (whether they have committed "big sins" like homosexual acts or "little sins" like lying or back talking your parents) and can go to Heaven. To do that, you simply have to believe all of this, confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior who saved you from sins, and turn away from your sins- which means to vow to live for God and give up your sins (although you will still mess up, Jesus already took those sins too).
And for the record, it's not having homosexual/bi-sexual feelings that is the sin; it's how you handle them. You can choose to pray and ask for help, or you can dwell on the fact that you like being that way and let it lead to lustful thoughts and actions. It's the second one that is a sin. And by "you", I wasn't singling you out, I meant anyone in that situation.
I just wanted to say that in case you didn't know; that's what the bible says about it.
Did it make sense? God is definitely fair even if it doesn't always make sense to us. He's a just God, so He brings justice- we can choose to get justice by paying for our sins ourself in hell, or turning away from our sins and letting Jesus pay for them for us. The choice is ours. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.
