a term is a vocabulary word, we just define certain words, or terms, to get a better understanding of them.
An outline is just a way of summarizing what you've learned in the chapter. You write down some key topics, and then write details about them in an outline.
And a unit is a different topic in the book. Like, one unit is the civil war, one unit is the great depression, one unit is the reconstruction..etc.
And that is your english lesson of the day ;D
