And depends on the species, but my milksnake and corn will live 15-20 years, the royal python ~30 years.

Ahh...yeah, and you'd have to make sure your hands don't smell of hamster . And na, they tried, but most snakes couldn't recognise them as food (it was more 'snake sausage' than pellets), and even then, they weren't nutritionally complete. Whole meals are good for them, since they digest everything except fur and claws which they pass, so that's a whole lot of essential nutrients for them ^^;.
That and snakes are very long lived compared to rodents ^^;

Thing is, snakes don't feel like you'd expect them to. Snakeskin has a rather unique feel to it, like cool leather almost, but sleeker. Not slimey at all, unless said snake is covered in oil or something xD.
And na, not that much, I only know the basics plus a little more than anybody who has three pet snakes kinda needs to know ^^;
You should totally get one if you're interested, they're such great pets ^^. As long as you're okay with having frozen rodents in your freezer >.>.

EDIT: Also, that one on the left turns pure white as it grows, they look so pretty as adults ^^.

Ooooooooh, royal python morphs. The left one is a black-eyed leucistic and the one to the right is a spider.
Expensive xD. Those snakes are probably like £150-300 each, depending. If I ever get disgustingly rich, I want to get an albino royal python (google images will show you what that looks like).

Currently, the one I have, Ozzy, is just a normal.
