Yes she did. She also told me a joke when I visited her in December that went something like this:
...she is my grandmother. I didn't get it from nowhere. My other grandmother has a bumper sticker on the back of their camper that says "If this camper's 'arockin, don't come knockin!" and she's a methodist Christian woman. ...my family just loves sex and sex jokes, hahaha! I wouldn't be surprised if she's read it as well.

Ahh, that's tough. It's a blessing that you don't have to worry about visas, etc, when you want to see her, and at least flights wouldn't be as expensive but 2,000 miles is still a long way... any distance is the same when you can't be together I think! At least you have an excuse to visit that beautiful city All the best for you guys.x

Ah! Is that a comment from someone who happened to fall for a Chicago-based person too? Mine's actually originally from a few states over but they live in Chicago (not that it makes much difference when they're several thousand miles away from me anyway.)
