"Young also incorporates some of his Christian faith into his music, since he is a vocal Christian" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owl_City

I just really like some of his songs and lyrics. They are just different to some of the more 'mainstream' music. I didn't pick up on it at the time when I was listening to his songs, but came across something ages ago that made me think. Then I did some quick research and found out that he is Christian and apparently some of his songs have been on Christian radio. I don't know if that was relevant to Louise's question though

I can't tell if your system is more or less complicated than ours is where you go through elementary-high school, then can apply to a number of things, whether it's a technical college to earn a skill (think electrical, HVAC, automotive, IT), a community college (normally Associate's Degrees are given I think? Cheaper, some people use them to get general education requirements out of the way before transferring into a university to finish a degree), and then there are universities. Or even colleges where you can get a good education but it's not considered a University, idk.

But community college and university here are just generalized as "college."

Is it similar to being Independent?

Eer crud, speaking of political parties, I have to figure out how to do an absentee ballot since I won't be able to get to my voter place this year! Class and all. I never registered for a party though either and am thinking I kind of want to but am unsure, so i PROBABLY WON'T.

I learned about it in English, well still am in the process of learning about it. But then another class is going to have us read it too, LOL.

    Yes, it adequately answered those.

Is there like a difference between "college" and "university" in England?
Because someone on my FB is from the UK (and besides the fact he used the word "collage" ) it almost seemed as if it was like an extension of high school?

Also, the Pink Party? I dared. Unless it's like personal or something because then I take that back, but I was assuming it as being a more "beware of a long explanation" thing.

    Also,

You should look up "The Banking Concept" by Freire. Technically, the essay by Freire has a long ass name, but I think it's also referred to as "The Banking Concept."

No no no, how can you encourage people to apply for Articles without using the word 'Skittlify'? Didn't I teach you anything?

Why thank you. You're welcome to adapt it for your own signature if you wish. I'm protesting because Rob refuses to acknowledge the word Skittlify and won't add it to the Glossary.

Adam! You have the AE color in your signature and it looks identical. What color is it? I've been trying to figure out which one it is for a long time.

    Hi there!

I'm Adam (Adam the Fish, formerly Rachael98), and I like chocolate.

Also, I'm a Live Help Operator (since 08/10/12) here as well as being an Article Editor, a member of the Social Networking Team and a Forum Moderator for the Why Me? forum.
I've now been a member of TeenHelp for two years - it doesn't sound much when others have been around since around when I was born, but it's a fair milestone for me!

I've just finished school - looking forward to Sixth Form! - and I'm always around to talk. If you ever want a chat, to rant or someone to talk to, send me a visitor or private message. I always get back to them pretty quickly.

I realise that I'm incredibly bad at writing informative "About Me"s, so if you ever have any questions about what I'm going on about, ask me. I only bite if I'm incredibly hungry.

    Making websites.

Being a generally helpful-ish person. Ish.
    Music
Personally, I sing...or did, until puberty started messing around with my voice. Now I have half-sing, and half-croak (RSCM VfL Red Level, Alto) and play:
    Piano (ABRSM G8)
    [Any other keyboard-related instrument]
    Ukulele
    Recorder
    Most things.

    I like many styles!
I enjoy Tim Minchin and Imagine Dragons among many artists.
    Movies
    Comedy, generally.

Johnny English is great, and Mrs. Doubtfire is also a must.
I enjoyed The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel a lot, too.
My Hunger Games obsession is also manifested in film form!

Finally, Donnie Darko. Who doesn't like psychology thrillers?
    Television
    Sherlock.

    I dislike television (mostly).

The most useful thing on there is BBC News.
Although I admit A Touch of Frost was excellent.
OK, and Miranda. And HIGNFY. And Watchdog. Plus TBBT. And QI. And New Tricks. But other than that...
    Games
The Sims 3 and SimCity. But OpenTTD is better. Also looking forward to TS4, if my poor old laptop is going to be up to it.
    ^^^ See, technology goes first.
    Monopoly.
And Contraband - quite an old game, but it involves cheating, lying and deception, so it's fun.

To family and friends, I'm notoriously bad at games; if there's a winner, and therefore a loser, I'm always the latter.
    Books
    Harry Potter.
    CHERUB/Henderson's Boys.
    Hunger Games.
    Divergent/Insurgent.

I might also find some more adult books at some point which I like as much as Harry Potter.
I do like Minette Walters a lot.
