The best thing i can suggest then is to go to another GP in your area and get a second opinon. GP's are not exactly specially trained to deal with social issues such as yours IMO and beyond being...

Medication isn't for everyone to help treat social disorders such as GAD/OCD/Social phobia but as Dr.Bobby said above it looks like it is starting to work and in your case with multiple disorder more...
