Re: Eczema

Thanks, I’ve found some Nivea cream that’s got beeswax in it which like seems to be working. So fingers crossed it continues to work. I’m just so fed up of health issues atm. My toes infected and I’m on anti biotics ( both tablet and a topical cream) unfortunately the tablet form of the anti biotics has now caused a flare up of thrush . It’s just one thing after another.

Re: Eczema

I have atopic eczema, but it's barely noticeable now (unless I go to a city that has really bad air quality, for example) but it's mostly gone! I remember when I was younger I used the laroche creams for eczema and they really helped (idk if you will be able to get them, though). I really hope it gets better for you soon!

We do have eucerin here!

Other creams you can try are: hydromol, epaderm and centraben. All of them come in a cream or an ointment form. Double base and diprobase creams are also good but can be expensive. You could also ask a pharmacist for recommendations too, rather than the doctors.

You can also get thin cotton gloves that you can wear after you apply the cream to help protect your hands from the cream rubbing off or scratching your hands etc.

Have you been feeling stressed lately? Sometimes stress can cause eczema to come back, especially if you can't think of any physical cause.

Hope your health picks up soon!

Eczema

My eczema has got really bad again… I’m not like to sure why either. The creams I use - sudocrem, epimax and e45 are not working. The weathers been cold recently really cold however that’s not the issue as I wear thick warm gloves when outside … my hands are all cracked, my knuckles are all red and sore and flakey… and my fingers are the same the skins all cracked and sore… I’ve not changed hand wash or anything … my diet hasn’t changed. I’ve recently been on anti biotics but that shouldn’t cause it to flare up…
I’m stuck as to what other creams to use… I’ve had the epimax prescribed by a dr a couple of years ago but irs not helping this time .. I really don’t want to have to go and see dr unless it’s absolutely necessary for me to do so as I seem to be at the drs every week at the moment for one issue or another like I found a lump on my back and went drs for that , then the following week I went because my toe was hurting and I had an infection and an ingrown toe-nail, so that was a course of anti biotics , ( which have caused me to have thrush ) and now my eczema has flared up and while the drs are free here in the uk ( thankgod for the nhs) I also don’t want to be constantly at the drs every damn week for issue or another. I guess in general my health isn’t great at the moment . But right now it’s the eczema that’s the issue.. and I’m at a loss as to what other creams to try .
