I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner and am also sorry to hear about French Toast. It's never easy to see a pet decline, but you can reassure yourself that even if you can't afford more treatment, you've tried hard to alleviate her pain. If you do have to make that unfortunate decision about euthanizing, it can help to remember that this option, though upsetting, helps to avoid more suffering. Keeping you in my thoughts

I'm so sorry to hear this, Dez. It is never easy watching a pet decline in health, and not being able to put in the financial effort to let them go peacefully to spare them more pain. It's been a few weeks since you made this post, so I am not sure if there's been any changes; but I want you to know that I am thinking of you. What I am certain of is that French Toast has never known anything but love by you.

The only thing that I tell myself is that they are out of pain.

Oh no Dez, I am truly sorry about this. I know how much you love your little piggies. I hope you will be okay soon, spend as much time as you can with them and take lots of pictures so you have them with you. Sending you lots of to help you to feel better soon.

This is going to be the end for French Toast.

French Toast has has two X-rays and about to be three rounds of antibiotics. She already has an enlarged heart and arthritis. They found lesions on her lung and they’re getting worse vs better so they’re saying they may be abscesses or tumors. If these antibiotics don’t work I officially cannot afford further testing or treatment and I’ll have to watch her die. She’s acting normal right now so I’m hoping she dies naturally but if not I get to start watching her decline and make the decision to euthanize her. I’m broken about it. How do you watch your pet decline like this?
I don’t know what specific advice I’m looking for so words of support would be cool too.
