Re: Your Religious and/or Spiritual Beliefs -

My beliefs can probably best be described as Buddhist. I believe in the concepts of karma, samsara, interbeing, suffering and nirvana, and rebirth. I believe that the most important purposes worth striving for are the elimination of war and pain, the expression of love towards all living beings, and the advancement of enlightenment and knowledge. I do not necessarily believe in a single, supreme being. Scientific theory, especially evolution and the geologic time scale, comforts me more than the thought of heaven and a divine creator. It is my opinion that an ongoing renewal of sentient lifetimes is more probable than the notion of the eternal, unchanging soul. Matter is neither created nor destroyed, only transformed. It bothers me that atheists proclaim there is "nothing" after death. There is surely something, though the molecules and atoms that comprise me may or may not ever again return to a living state.

You can find my kind living right on the fault line, eyes on the seaside, lives on the B-side, kites on the power lines.
