Re: Unhealthy addiction to Energy Drinks >.< -

You're totally right about one thing. The amount of energy drinks that you are consuming isn't healthy at all! It's great to hear that you want to stop. A willingness to put in the work required to cut back on your energy drink consumption will make the entire process so much easier.
To be completely honest, trying to quit cold turkey won't work. You need to wean yourself off of the addiction, rather than putting an end to it in one shot. You drink 3-4 energy drinks a day, right? Try cutting that number down to 2 energy drinks a day for the next month. Let your body get accustomed to that. Then, make another cut to the amount you consume. Continue to do this until you're down to 2-3 drinks a week, rather than 4 a day. Energy drinks aren't bad in moderation. It sounds like you just need to figure out how to control how many you drink.
It would be so helpful for you to find something else to help you deal with your emotions - something that isn't quite as addicting as energy drinks. The fact that you're willing to try something else instead of resorting to unhealthy behaviors is fantastic! You just need to figure out a different alternative. TH has a pretty nifty list, which can be found here. Go ahead and check those out when you have some time. It's a decent sized list and I'm sure you'll be able to find something that you can do to help you deal with your emotions and keep you from consuming a large amount of energy drinks in one day.
